According to the government’s report, at the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse, and a high-level delegation of the Vietnamese Government paid an official visit to Australia from March 7-9, 2024.

On the morning of March 7, after the formal welcoming ceremony at the Parliament House in Canberra, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held extensive talks with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

In a spirit of sincerity and mutual trust, the two leaders expressed satisfaction with the robust development of the friendship and Strategic Partnership between the two countries and agreed to upgrade the relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

In the same spirit of sincerity and trust, the two leaders agreed to coordinate closely to implement six major directions to deepen cooperation across various fields in a more effective and substantive manner.

These include: “Both sides agreed to enhance cultural exchanges; promote vocational education cooperation, increase the number of scholarships for Vietnamese students studying in Australia; and establish more branches of major Australian universities in Vietnam.” This represents a positive “signal” opening up opportunities for consulting, training, and vocational study abroad organizations to enhance their mission and further advance international integration in foreign language training and vocational study abroad consulting. This, in turn, provides high-quality learning and employment opportunities for students in Australia.
